For the very first time, we visited the roof of the Castle! The scaffolding used for repairing chimneys allowed us to climb on the roof and discover an amazing view of the courtyard, the park, and … the roof itself. We were particularly impressed by the size of the chimneys, at least 4 meters high… Our ‘roof trip’ resulted in exceptional photos that you could admire on our Facebook page.
As a reminder, the English style park that you see on pictures below, was created by the famous landscape architect Fuchs in the 19th century. The courtyard of the castle, particularly interesting from above (one discovers that the round is not round :)), is a mixture of styles: the outbuildings date back from the Renaissance, while the Chateau and the grey building date back from the First Empire era.
